And this is what December looked like for us. Bryan and Lisa's church produced a Christmas Light Show this year. Anticipating that the last dress rehearsal might be a "late" one, I planned a day trip and ended up in Liberty to be with Joshua, Kayla & Tyler for the evening. Even though a delicious bean soup was in the crockpot, Dairy Queen was the selected place to dine!!
Tyler being Tyler :)
The next event was Savannah Reese's birth on December 10.
Brian doing his best to provide safety for Baby Girl! Do they make softball infielder's masks for babies?
Joshua, Kayla and Tyler got to spend a couple of weekends with us while Lisa was on tour and Bryan was overseeing the final weekend of the Light Show. They got to meet their new cousin at the hospital.
Joshua "might" be faking being asleep??
Is that a precious smile or what!
We "might" have had 31 minutes of screen time (instead of 30)...... Just sayin'.....
I was needing to make new beanbags for Awana and Miss Kayla was all about doing this for me. What a great beginning sewing project and she won't even have to worry about it being judged by a 4-H sewing judge!
Joshua always likes to make Spritz Cookies and he has operating the cookie press down to perfection.
In between sewing, there's always time for handstands.
One final beanbag just to take home.
Jordy & Kennedy came for the day since daycare was closed. I don't know why these two get a kick out of putting the bristle blocks bucket on their heads. No, it hasn't gotten stuck yet! It makes me break out in a sweat!
Ahhh, Jordy loves his sister.
Stephen's family arrived on the 19th and we celebrated Freya's birthday on the 22nd.
Little Savannah sleeps without a care in the world.
Lena has just begun reading and it was pretty sweet hearing her read to Camden and Emmy. Lena is in kindergarten.
On Christmas Eve afternoon we made sugar cookies. Lena, Max, Henry & Emmy each had their own cookies to decorate.
All dressed up ready to go to the Christmas Eve service at church.
Lisa's family came Christmas Day afternoon and we had more "cousin" time. Love the game of Blockus!
Our family Christmas gathering was Saturday night. Brian & Carly with their family.
Lisa & Bryan with their family
Ryan and Eli
Stephen & Freya with their family
Rebecca & Jon with their family
We read the Christmas story and had a short sing-a-long with Max accompanying on his guitar. Finally.....time to pass out the presents.
It was time for Eli to open a gift and he was nowhere in sight. He had ventured off to the toyroom all by himself just as happy as could be.
"Okay, Kenny, let's play a little duet now!"
"Okay, start right here!"
"I love you Cousin Lena!"
Eating together. So thankful for our extra dining room space.
It was a wonderful Christmas.!
