Summer Fun

Camden really liked his "swimming lessons" with Mommy.

Westin......not so much.  These "swimshirts" that the little boys wear are great!  They keep out the sun rays and don't have to keep spraying on sunscreen.

Off to more ballgames.  These fold up wagons are great!

Lisa likes her little red wagon!

Joshua getting warmed up before the game.

Kayla getting ready to bat.  Why do girls batting helmets have a mask and the boys don't???

Keep your eye on the ball, Jordy!

Tyler's tough scowl was posed for the picture.  He told me when to take the picture!

I spent time at the pool with the kids before the 4th of July Red, White & Blast Event.

It was a great night with no rain, a great crowd, great music, great fireworks!

Stephen's family arrived for a week's visit.  The girls decided to paint their toenails!

A day at the Discovery Center.  Eli would have been content to spend the entire time at this peg table.  He hammered and hammered!

 Fun on the outdoor trails.

Grandma with part of the grands!

 Stephen taking a rest.

What is it about a boy and a stick!

Peter is just happy to be along for the ride.

And speaking of riding.  Tricycles that even daddy can ride on!

Nothing like having a big brother!

The gang at Chuck E Cheese.

 Kennedy and her mommy!

What's wrong with this picture......Stephen holding the spoon, Peter looking at the camera, no food in the mouth!

We're always joking about Grandpa getting a horse.  This is probably as close as it gets!

Joshua was dealing with asthma issues, so he read the newspaper with his ballcap to pass the time.

Shooting off a few firecrackers.  Hold your ears!

You have to be able to squat to shoot off fireworks.

So while the parents were engaged in table games........

The boys were working on their video game skills!  :)

We had our 1st Smiley Reunion last weekend.  We had a really, really good time together...and it was really really hot!

Of course, John and Donna, being from Arizona probably weren't suffering a bit with the heat!

 Christi and Alyssa

The young ones started stripping down to stay cool.

Adalyn monitored the water hydrant!  Next time we need to connect a hose and sprinkler to it!

Special times to get reacquainted.  Here's Aunt Donna and Claudia.

Aunt Marilyn had these wonderful music boxes to show the kiddos.

The sign that there're little ones around......

Well, this picture happened to be at the end of my "file," and it only seemed fitting to end the pictures from our family reunion with a picture of Mother and Dad.  I miss them.  What special memories of them we have in our hearts.
